Perched at an altitude of around 11,500 ft - Dayara Bugyal is considered as India’s one of the
most beautiful alpine meadows trek. Located in the North-west part of Uttarakhand, this
garden of nature can make anyone go weak on their knees.
"Bugyal” means meadow in the regional language, which means land covered with
wildflowers. It offers 270-degree views of the mesmerizing snow-clad mountains and valleys
holding the blanket of nature.
On your way, you will be mesmerized with myriad hues of nature changing colors with every
season to towering peaks like Gangotri, Draupadi ka Danda. It is a place filled with high
biodiversity with picturesque views.

Day 1: Dehradun to Raithal
- Pick up from Dehradun Railway station at 7.30.a.m. Dehradun is well connected with Delhi through railway and road routes. Overnight Buses and Trains are available.
- Meet at Dehradun. Drive from Dehradun to Raithal.
- Drive to Raithal via Uttarkashi
- Arrive at Raithal village, a small village located 20 km above the city of Uttarkashi which serves as the starting point of the trek. Stay at the homestay in Raithal.
- A quick introduction & briefing session with the trek leader and fellow travelers.
- Dinner and rest at the homestay.
Day 2: Raithal to Gui, 5 Km Trek
- Raithal to Gui, 5 Km Trek
- Excursion to Gui Campsite from Raithal after breakfast.
- A 5 km ascend trek to Gui campsite of easy grade passing through the oak forest.
- Arrival at the Gui campsite, hot lunch at the campsite.
- An evening acclimatization walk.
- Evening refreshments and snacks post-walk.
- Overnight stay at the camps.
Day 3: The Summit Day, 7 Km trek
- The Summit Day, 7 Km Trek
- 3.5 Km Trek to Dayara Bugyal from the campsite after breakfast.
- Rest and packed lunch at the Dayara Viewpoint.
- Descend back to Gui Campsite from Dayara Top.
- Arrival at the campsite Dinner at the campsite.
Day 4: Gui to Dehradun
- Gui to Raithal, Drive to Dehradun, 235Km Drive
- Descend back to Raithal village from Gui after breakfast on a 5 km descend the trail.
- A 235 km drive back to Dehradun from Raithal village passing through Uttarkashi.
- Lunch and evening snacks during transport will be provided on the roadside inns.
- The expected time of arrival in Dehradun will be 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM. So you can plan your travel further accordingly.
How to Reach Dayara Bugyal?
There are various ways to reach Dayara Bugyal:
By Air:
Jolly Grant Airport is the airport serving Dehradun, located about 25 km from the city. There is a daily flight from Delhi to Dehradun.
By Train:
Take the overnight train to Dehradun from Delhi.
- Nandadevi Express - Train no: 12205 (Departure 11:50pm; Arrival - 5:40am)
- Dehradun Express - Train no: 12687 (Departure - 9:10pm; Arrival - 5:00am)
By Bus:
Dehradun is well connected to most cities such as Delhi, Shimla, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Agra, and Mussoorie by Volvo, Deluxe, semi-deluxe, and Uttarakhand State Transport buses. These buses arrive and depart from the Dehradun Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) near Clement Town. Buses depart from here every 15 minutes to one hour.
Another bus terminal in Dehradun is the Mussoorie Bus Station, located at the Dehradun Railway Station which has regular bus services to Mussoorie and other nearby cities. Another interstate bus terminal in Dehradun is the Delhi Bus Stand on Gandhi Road.

Note:
Normally Trek Shrek expect to carry your personal luggage on your own, if you wish to offload your backpack, you can give it to Mule.
Charges of offloading backpack:-
INR 1200/- if you make an online payment, 10 days in advance
The backpack cannot weigh more than 11 kgs. Backpack should have waterproof cover. Suitcases/strolleys/ bags will not be allowed.

Paying the Trek/ Adventure activity fee:
The fee can be paid by online transfer/check deposit/ demand draft. Instruction for payment will be forwarded along with your confirmation email. When your transfer is done, please e-mail us a confirmation mail with your transfer details, so that we can follow up your reservation efficiently.
When to Book:
It is wise to make your booking at least two months in advance. However, if you want a good deal on your domestic/international flight, we recommend organising your trip at least five months in advance. (Please contact us if you require a late booking)
Cancellation Policy:
Terms for Cancellation & Refund:
Customer is suppose to make a full payment in advance for the confirm bookings.
If in case a confirmed booking needs to be cancel than below are the refund policies
1. Prior 30 days of the confirmed date, 50% of the total amount would be refunded
2. Prior 25 days of the confirmed date, 40% of the total amount would be refunded
3. Prior 20 days of the confirmed date, 30% of the total amount would be refunded
4. Prior 15 days of the confirmed date, 20% of the total amount would be refunded
5. Prior 10 days of the confirmed date, 10% of the total amount would be refunded
Note: After the said time the Trek Shrek would not be entertaining any cancelation and no amount would be refunded whatsoever.

- Please provide a valid ID at the time of check-in. The exact location will be shared with you post-booking.
- The trek takes place through an eco-friendly zone; do not encourage littering the local sites or campsites. Travelers littering may be fined.
- Water is very precious, so conservation is appreciated.
- Neat and clean vehicle for the journey with experienced driver especially for hilly terrains available.
- Carry dry snacks/food from home (you will save a lot of money). Carry water bottles with you, so that you can refill.
- Keep your luggage minimum; the more you carry, the more you hassle.
- All the activities depend upon the weather.
- In case, the trek needs to be cancelled, the authorities should be informed beforehand.
- It is recommended to carry enough warm clothes and the right kind of shoes for the Dayara Bugyal trek.
