Winter Spiti – Nestled high in the Trans-Himalayan region of Himachal Pradesh, Winter Spiti is a breathtaking cold desert destination known for its dramatic landscapes, frozen rivers, ancient monasteries, and raw Himalayan beauty. During winter, Spiti transforms into a snow-covered wonderland, offering a truly unique and adventurous experience at altitudes ranging from 10,000 to 14,000 feet.








Shimla is served by Jubbarhatti Airport, located about 22 km from Shimla city. There are limited direct flights from Delhi to Shimla, subject to weather conditions. Alternatively, travelers can fly to Chandigarh Airport and continue the journey to Shimla by road (approx. 115 km).
There is no direct broad-gauge train to Shimla from Delhi. Travelers can reach Kalka Railway Station from Delhi by overnight or daytime trains and then take the famous Kalka–Shimla Toy Train (UNESCO World Heritage).

From Kalka, board the Kalka–Shimla Toy Train, offering a scenic mountain journey through tunnels, bridges, and pine forests.
Shimla is well connected to Delhi and Chandigarh by Volvo, Deluxe, Semi-Deluxe, and HRTC buses. Buses from Delhi depart from ISBT Kashmere Gate and ISBT Majnu Ka Tila, with frequent services throughout the day and night.
Delhi to Shimla distance: Approx. 350 km
Travel time: 8–10 hours (depending on traffic and weather)
Buses arrive at the Shimla ISBT (Tutkandi), from where local taxis and buses are easily available to reach hotels and nearby areas.

Practice walking by wearing your boots before the trek to make yourself used to them.
