with a series of steep and gradual ascents. Passing above Dhauli Ganga, a rain shelter is the first landmark of the trek before reaching Kharchi Village. This takes around 20 minutes to reach.





Rishikesh has excellent road connectivity with nearby cities and states.
Regular buses (ordinary, deluxe, and Volvo) operate from Delhi, Dehradun, Haridwar, Chandigarh, and Jaipur.
Buses are run by Uttarakhand Transport Corporation (UTC) and private operators.
From Delhi (ISBT Kashmere Gate), the journey takes around 6–7 hours.
Buses usually drop passengers at Rishikesh Bus Stand or nearby areas.
Tip: Night Volvo buses from Delhi are comfortable and time-saving.
Driving to Rishikesh is a scenic and flexible option.

Rishikesh Railway Station has limited trains.
Haridwar Junction (25 km away) is the nearest major railway station.
Haridwar is well connected to Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, and Ahmedabad.
From Haridwar, you can take a taxi, bus, or auto-rickshaw to Rishikesh (45–60 minutes).
The nearest airport to Rishikesh is Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun.
