Kedarkantha Trek – One of the most popular beginner-friendly treks in Uttarakhand, the Kedarkantha Trek is renowned for its stunning summit views and beautiful winter landscapes. Located in the Govind Pashu Vihar National Park region, this trek reaches an altitude of around 12,500 feet, offering a perfect introduction to high-altitude trekking.
1.Depart from Dehradun Railway Station at 7:00 a.m.
2. Enjoy a scenic drive along the Yamuna River and green valleys.
3. Pass through charming hill towns like Purola and Mori.
4. Arrive at Sankri by 4:00 p.m.
5. Check in to your cozy guesthouse or campsite.
6. Explore Sankri and savor its local cuisine.
7. Rest well for the exciting trek tomorrow.

1.After breakfast, start a 4 km trek to Juda Ka Talab.
2. Trek takes around 5 hours through scenic trails.
3. Cross streams and walk through dense oak forests.
4. Enjoy the lush greenery and peaceful surroundings.
5. Reach the picturesque Juda Ka Talab.
6. Set up camp and explore the area.
7. Spend the day capturing photos and enjoying nature.

1.After breakfast, trek 3-4 hours to Kedarkantha Base.
2. Pass through dense pine and oak forests.
3. Spot shepherd huts across open meadows.
4. Enjoy breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks.
5. See mountains like Bandarpoonch, Swargarohini, Kala Nag,
and Ranglana.
6. Reach Kedarkantha Base by afternoon.
7. Check into camps and enjoy sunset over the Himalayas.

2. Trek through the forest as vegetation thins.
3. The peak comes into view as you ascend.
4. Reach the summit at 12,500 ft and celebrate loudly!

6. Begin the descent back towards Juda Ka Talab.
7. Halt for the day and celebrate the achievement.

4. Reach Sankri by 12:00-1:00 p.m.
5. Prepare for the drive back to Dehradun.
6. Journey takes around 8 hours through scenic roads.
7. Arrive in Dehradun, marking the end of the trek.

Jolly Grant Airport is the airport serving Dehradun, located about 25 km from the city. There is a daily flight from Delhi to Dehradun.
Take the overnight train to Dehradun from Delhi.
Dehradun is well connected to most cities such as Delhi, Shimla, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Agra, and Mussoorie by Volvo, Deluxe, semi-deluxe, and Uttarakhand State Transport buses. These buses arrive and depart from the Dehradun Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) near Clement Town. Buses depart from here every 15 minutes to one hour.
Another bus terminal in Dehradun is the Mussoorie Bus Station, located at the Dehradun Railway Station which has regular bus services to Mussoorie and other nearby cities. Another interstate bus terminal in Dehradun is the Delhi Bus Stand on Gandhi Road.
