Badrinath with Chopta–Tungnath Trek – This spiritually enriching journey takes you through some of the most sacred and scenic destinations of Uttarakhand. Begin your adventure at Badrinath, one of the revered Char Dham pilgrimage sites, nestled along the banks of the Alaknanda River and surrounded by majestic Himalayan peaks. Continue towards Chopta, often called the “Mini Switzerland of India,” where lush meadows and alpine forests create a serene atmosphere.




Wake-up: Early wake-up at 4:00 a.m.
Trek: Start your trek at 5:00 a.m. to Deoriatal Lake from Sari (2.5 km one way).
Return: Trek back to Sari after visiting Deoriatal Lake.
Travel: Depart for Delhi at 10:00 a.m.
Rishikesh: Stop at Rishikesh to attend Ganga Aarti if time permits.
Travel: Continue the journey to Delhi and conclude your trip.

Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI), Delhi, is the starting point for this trek. Participants traveling from other cities can reach Delhi via domestic or international flights. From Delhi, the journey continues by road or train as per the trek schedule.
Participants will assemble in Delhi. From Delhi, an overnight journey is arranged to the trek starting point.

Nanda Devi Express – Train No: 12205 (Departure: 11:50 p.m. | Arrival: 5:40 a.m.)
Dehradun Express – Train No: 12687 (Departure: 9:10 p.m. | Arrival: 5:00 a.m.)
Delhi is well connected to Dehradun and Haridwar by Volvo, Deluxe, Semi-Deluxe, and Uttarakhand State Transport buses. Buses operate frequently from ISBT Kashmiri Gate and Anand Vihar Bus Terminal, with departures every 15 minutes to one hour.
From Delhi, participants can easily travel overnight to the designated pickup point as per the trek itinerary.

It is so evident that one has to walk and only walk while Trekking, so it is far more essential to have a good pair of trekking/hiking shoes. Practice walking by wearing your boots before the trek to make yourself used to them. You may opt for an option to keep an extra pair in your bag while trek to help yourself in the opposite condition.
